Idle Moments by Grant Green (1965)

My personal favorite Jazz album of all time. Not so much lesser loved - it's a huge achievement that so many are fond of - it's just one that generally stayed within he Jazz crowd without ever reaching broader acclaim or awareness.

This is the ultimate "rainy day" record, which comes in handy often living in the generally rainless Southwest. The album is relaxation and soul captured to vinyl. Pure atmosphere.

Joe Henderson's solo on the title track is, for my money, the greatest sax solo in jazz history. Absolutely stunning.

Bonus fun fact - during the recording of the title track, Grant Green famously miscounted and soloed for 64 bars instead of the agreed-upon 32, with the rest of the band seamlessly following his lead to create an epic, near-15-minute journey.
