Butter doesn’t go bad because it’s not kept cold, butter goes bad because it’s not airtight. These types of butter crocks have been used for centuries! By turning the crock of butter upside down in another pot filled with water, a seal is created preventing bacteria/etc from spoiling it. The best part is that your butter is always smooth and spreadable, and it can be kept on the table instead of in the fridge.

In theory I want this butter lifestyle AND still…I have questions: like how long? Are we thinking the butter is probably used up within 3 days, or with this tool is this like a 7 day window is fair game?

Mine stays fresh for a couple weeks!

It fits one “stick” of butter. You just mash the stick in it and press it down. And then add about 1/2 inch of water for the seal. I have to add more water maybe once or twice over the course of 2 weeks.
