This is so intriguing- I’m kind of terrorized by all the mutilated people in the reviews… are they doing something obviously wrong ?

Yes they’re definitely doing it wrong. You have to keep the wand moving across the face at all times, like in sweeps. Otherwise you’re just “sanding” one part of your skin. Unfortunately they didn’t read the directions 😬
