“pack your patience”

A few years ago, my husband was lamenting about traveling during the holidays to a co-worker, and they said to “you better remember to pack your patience!” and for some reason, it stuck. If we hit a travel bump (delayed flight, missed train, long lines) or are just feeling some travel anxiety, we just remind each other that it’s ok because we packed our patience.
