an annual trip with friends

each year my friends and i book a cabin somewhere, AND my book club plans a long weekend somewhere in the country. these trips bring me so much joy, and even better - i expect them year after year. creating a tradition, and labelling it as one, means there really isn’t room for an excuse to not take The Annual Trip. memorialize your joy!!

The trips have 6-7 people on them!! We plan early in the year (usually December / January) to pick the weekend, then we decide location + budget, find The Spot then BOOK! We usually go in with an idea of where we want to go, and narrow it down based on availability on Airbnb!
I’m Canadian, so we have done many trips in the Rocky Mountains (fave spot is Nordegg!!). Another fave book club spot was Vancouver Island and Montreal!!
We usually make our grocery list in advance of the trip, and do the shop on our way! Schedule is usually go with the flow, with ideas of things we want to do, and maybe a couple planned things (like spa or resto reservation)!! Once you commit to booking the spot, the rest is easy details!
