When I was a server in a French restaurant years ago I had two regulars who came in every couple of months. Both ladies were easily in their 80s and for dinner they’d order two dozen oysters EACH, plus a bottle of champagne. The oysters were served in big silver tubs full of ice and it was always such a highlight getting to bring them out to these two delighted and delightful women.
