Fire Island (2022)

JV

“Before Heated Rivalry (HBO), there was Fire Island (2022), a steamy gay movie starring Joel Kim Booster and Bowen Yang, dir. Andrew Ahn. I produced it, I swear it’s like summer in a bottle (of rosé).”

Lida Richardson

“I went into a rhapsody about how much I love adaptations after watching this movie. I really think this is such a great Pride and Prejudice retelling. And just a delight to see 30% of Brooklyn’s alt comedians. I added “Fantasy” by Sofi Tukker to so many playlists afterwards. Caveat to the can-modern-romcoms-be-good debates: yes, if gay.”
