A brushing scam is a scam in which third-party online sellers send unsolicited packages to your home so they can write fake positive reviews under your name.
“Lyla why do you recommend being the target of a scam?”
Well, let me tell you — the packages just. keep. coming. And I’m not necessarily mad about it. So far I’ve received:
A red light mask
A red light belt
A container of dried pineapple
A package of dried lemon snacks
Some pens
Gummy magnesium supplements
Some more pens
I am an influencer with a dried fruit niche. I am the queen of the magnesium gummy. Is my data compromised? Sure. But look at these goddamn lemon snacks. Sweet. Tangy, AND chewy? What the hell is a lemon snack? Can’t wait to dip into my stash and find out.

I am jealous of your criminals. Ours (my mother's) opted for a lot! of Avon, okay, and a ton of Tupperware (alrighty) and $700 worth of awkwardly sized storage bins (like for cut spaghetti or some of your sugar). No lemon snacks, and certainly no red light bounty. Enjoy!
