Cardoons!!!

These big babies are so fun to grow from seed, even if they don’t put up those famous purple flowers (mine didn’t this year and I suspect they’re acting biennial for… reasons??). The spiky fronds are long, dramatic, and a little prehistoric — a great glaucous punctuation mark through the garden.
