Make your front yard wild.

We did this too and also in year 3 (I think?) and it's the best thing ever. We have a crazy wild jungle filled with butterflies, bees and lizards and it's heaven...and smells wonderful....I did have a nightmare dealing with LADWP who scammed us out of a chunk of the water wise funding they had agreed to, but still worth it...

We also did it and our explosion of poppies makes me happy every day.

Love this! Sheet mulched my front lawn a few years ago and raised a few neighbor eyebrows. Now I have 4 raised garden beds among my lavender, blueberry bushes, rosemary, and other plants. The bees love it and now I need flowers that the bunnies love less.

Bonus points if you can use lots of native plants !

I did this in the Hollywood Hills a decade ago years of happy bees, birds, animals and humans…and when I sold the house turned out it was a big selling point, did not know I would ever sell and it didn’t play into the decision at all but a nice surprise - I hope that’s a trend!
