The Thief (Megan Whalen Turner)

Oh man, I was having a really good time with this book. And then it somehow got better at the end. And even better as the series progressed. At the end, having loved the audiobooks, I actually bought physical copies of the whole series. That’s how much I loved this story and these characters.

I’d put this with people who love Madeline Miller, Philip Pullman, Greek adjacent mythology, the ability to laugh out loud and cry proper tears in the same book (out of its humanity, this is not trauma for the sake of it).
