Sufism & The Metaphysics of Love

My friend Londyn sent me this a long time ago and I couldn’t be more grateful. I feel like alot of people who grew up Muslim or often mix or confuse culture with religion feel like you have to struggle and oppress thyself to be a “good Muslim.” While I do think the plights of your life build beautiful lessons and reframe your everyday habits, by divesting from them, you may learn you didn’t need them or were reliant on them in the first place— this video offers the opposite. To love god is to love thyself, to love others is to love god to treat each interaction or moment of intimacy as a godly one is to center love.
