For those of us who live in the beautiful Vintage apartments that make LA so special we sadly don’t have air-conditioning or parking for that matter. This heat has become unbearable. All of my windows are front doors. I need any and all recommendations for good AC units or portable unit units because I can’t out anything in the windows. Help!

This kind is amazingly effective at cooling larger rooms. You do need a 6in opening to “outside” to vent out the hot air. But with some creativity maybe cool your bedroom and, using a tarp with a hole cut in it, vent to your kitchen or bathroom with the exhaust fan on for a few hours to bring the overall temps down?
