I recently had the exterior of my house painted and used a REAL color consultant to select the colors for me. As a design-minded person, I thought this was something I could handle on my own but I needed to outsource the emotional aspects of such a permanent decision and I am so, so, so glad I did. Lesson learned: paying experts with a proven track record is a worthwhile investment (even if you think you could do a good job of it yourself).

it's perfect!
Sadly, this is not my house. It's the image that was automatically pulled in but I agree that it's beautiful! Mine will be posted to her site soon.
Do you happen to have any recommendations for a specific color expert or how to find one? I feel like a fish out of water trying to pick paint colors for our interior
Hi! I got really lucky and just stumbled across mine on Pinterest (very 2010s!). Aside from connecting with her exterior photos, I had a gut feeling about her and I'm glad I trusted my instinct. She does interior color consulting too if you want to explore her portfolio. I also think a lot of interior designers would take on a color selection project (as opposed to a full service project). If you scroll down under "Other Services," this designer does virtual consultations: https://www.jillbradshawinteriors.com/services. The Expert might be another really good resource for this.
