I can’t sleep in a plane/train/car, but I use this anyway to “rest” and avoid watching half of a movie with no sound over a stranger’s shoulder. Bonus points if you need to take a daytime nap to catch up with the time change at your destination.
It doesn’t have to be this one, because this one is stupidly expensive, but it has eye cups that allow you to blink in the darkness and a strap that doesn’t make my ears hurt.

“I got my first Manta over a decade ago early days. They’re better now and cheaper! I’ll take that as progress. I can put myself to bed with this on almost anywhere anytime. I buy them two at a time because I can’t risk the eventual me leaving it behind somewhere moment. Self management is real.”

“keeps the light from my eyes and allows me to sleep forever pro tip: wash every few uses to prevent eye irritation”

“The best thing I ever did for my sleep was start using a good quality sleep mask. Even at night there’s still enough ambient light to keep me up, apparently. And putting on the mask tells my brain it’s bedtime! I like this one that has eye “cups” that let you blink naturally and a comfortable strap.”
