"The Harlem Book of the Dead" by James Van Der Zee

I learned about this book in an art history class literally a decade ago and still remember it so vividly. this book explores death / funeral traditions in Black communities in Harlem, and it looks like this edition also has poetry, excerpts from conversations with Van Der Zee and an intro by Toni Morrison. I honestly might order a copy for myself right now lol
