Yiyun Li’s Things in Nature Merely Grow

This book has high praise. It won the Pulitzer. Even still I wasn’t sure it was for me. Memoir isn’t necessarily my genre of choice and I’m also not a mother (obviously not a prerequisite but thought maybe the impact came from that shared experience). But actually, Yiyun Li’s mind and the way she communicates how she feels and thinks is truly astounding. This book is beautiful and hard and very honest and very human.
