Taking the JFK - Tokyo flight that lands at 4am & spending your whole first day at the Haneda airport onsen

I was dreading the idea of burning time between 4am and 3pm (when my hotel check in opened) but then I learned there is a 24hr onsen in Haneda airport!!

You simply saunter over to the Airport Garden complex in T3, put your suitcase in a coin locker, grab your spa jammies for the restaurant, and then sit butt ass naked in varying delicious temps of water both indoors and outdoors while enjoying a view of Mt Fuji…nuff said!

Can’t believe I almost opted to walk around all jetlagged and bedraggled in the Tokyo summer heat with my suitcase for 11hrs instead of doing this…

It’s about $30, which is considered expensive for an onsen in Japan, but more than worth it to spend countless hours adjusting to your new timezone in bubbly water.
