I'm not sure that it's like a magic 100% foolproof solution, but I do think that having some containment is both helpful from an organizing perspective and a food longevity perspective. That being said, sourdough is so magic straight from the freezer, so I'm never gonna tell you not to do that.

Thank yooou! Learned a lot here. I do put my sourdough in the freezer but then I always put it on toaster. So now I'm trying two new things :)

omg SAME we always started with that question! it's so funny it'd forgotten about that. I def think you need one. If you have bread, you need a box to put it in!

lol I love this question, and it's one I've actually thought about before!

Ok so a baguette is best day of, so I feel like if you go out of your way to acquire one you have a moral obligation to eat as much of it as possible that same day. Whatever is left will fit in the box.

But seriously, I do feel like when you get a baguette it is for a meal same day, and then if you have half left to store it should fit diagonally.
