The Repair Shop (2017)
There’s something genuinely soothing about watching skilled craftspeople bring broken family heirlooms back to life. It’s a bit like Antiques Roadshow, but instead of appraising an item’s value, the experts restore it while hearing the story behind it.
What makes it work is the humanity. It’s not sensationalized, just kindness, craft, and community, which has made it a quiet, unlikely hit. If you want a show that leaves you feeling better than when you started, this is it.

“I can easily binge this at any time. The Repair Shop is a heartwarming British television show where skilled craftspeople restore damaged or broken family heirlooms to their former glory. Set in an enchanting, remote workshop, the series brings together experts in furniture, horology, metalwork, and ceramics to save treasured possessions and the emotional stories behind them.”

“The best, most soothing thing on television. Will restore your faith in humanity and make you want to pick up basket weaving or leather restoration.”
