Mermaids (1990)

“This is a peak fall movie for me but the final kitchen dance scene feels very end-of-school, beginning of summer. It’s so quotable and so fun to see Jake Ryan in another role. Cher, Winona Ryder, Christina Ricci, and Bob Hoskins are all so good in this!”

Myan Aljets

“I say, “hit me sergeant,” far too often. A gem of a movie. Peak Cher, young Winona, baby Christina Ricci… and Michael Schoeffling (forever known as Jake Ryan)? I’d be outta my mind in love with him too tbh. Cher is best/worst mom, but what a woman.”

April

“I love this movie. Love the entire cast. Such a good Bob Hoskins role.”
