Yuccas are often found in the desert in dry climates. This one above is ours and she lives in the desert that has survived for at least two decades in summers that reach 120 degrees - I’ve only seen it flower once in the last 3 years but she’s at least a few decades old!
The yucca below is a baby and she’s growing on the Northwest corner of a busy windy Brooklyn NY corner. It made it through its first winter with at least 3 snowstorms. If a yucca can flower here it can live anywhere.
Plant one in your difficult climate for endless enjoyment.
