Pyrex glass percolator

Okay… so this is how we boil water in my house. It’s our kettle. It’s made to make coffee but we just take the percolator part out and ta-da! You have a gorgeous stovetop glass vessel. One of my first herb teachers, Corinne Boyer, put me on to this genius device.

I love this vessel because it allows me to WATCH MY HERBS SIMMER! When I’m decocting my burdock and dandelion and fennel I get to go “ooooo weeee! look at them dance!” It’s all a part of the magic. We get to see the colors change and develop, the herbs transform. So much better than hiding them away in a pot! And it’s cute as hell!

These are often available on eBay. I buy the largest one they make, which I believe is 8 cups?
