This is also my recommendation for getting through harder winters — you have to experience it enough to start noticing the nuances of the world around you, and the way they change. Staying inside all the time isn’t more comfortable, it isolates us from connecting to the cyclical rhythms of ourselves and nature. Feeling the heat, the sun, the rain, and noticing the leaves change and fall, or the weird roots on the tree in your own front yard — that is the stuff that really helps.
