Fesco 4836 Pleated Blue Waste Basket (Vintage)

Vintage all day. Between Etsy and eBay, you should never be buying a waste paper basket from Ikea or Target. Fesco made this accordion pleated plastic trash can in the ‘60s and ‘70s that really checks all of my boxes. Made out of a material cos-playing another material so that there's a surrealist quality to it. They come in a great range of colors, a matte, muted brown with a purple undertone all the way to a hi-vis yellow for the room that needs some grit. Ebay is drowning in them. —Sally Breer
