Middlemarch

I can’t take credit for this but have heard it described as Jane Austen for grown ups. So true. Middlemarch is the complex but moving story of an entire community and how the resident’s lives intersect - for better or worse. It’s long and dense but so powerfully captures the human condition and worth every minute.
