Surprise Car Packs
Recommended by Sarah
One of my favorite travel traditions is putting together surprise car packs before a road trip. It's become something everyone looks forward to on the morning we leave. They each get a pack (organizer) attached to the back of their seat filled with vacation snacks, activities, little surprises + all the things they inevitably forget — shampoo, toothpaste, chargers, etc.
I love that everything they need stays right there for the entire drive + honestly, it brings me so much joy to put together.

God this is so thoughtful!!

For kids/siblings, do you put the same items in each, or different? I wonder if different items will promote trading, extending the fun… or if it ends in fighting 😆

When my kids were little I did “hour bags”. They got to open one every hour and they had a variety of things: audiobooks, small crafts, treats, etc. It broke the trips down for kids into hour chunks!
