A Caldecott honor to notice! We were gifted this book as expectant parents in 2015, and have never tired of its mesmerizing illustrations or soothing prose. Even on challenging work days as a street medicine doctor, these words play as lyrical mantras in my head that soothe growing despair for the world letting me access compassion and dignity for the people around me.
