Mary Keehn, creator of Humboldt Fog goat cheese

The idea for the cheese came to her in a dream. The bluish rind was made to look like the fog from home. It was made out of vegetable ash. She had a long creative friendship with another cheese monger and the two women brought goats milk cheese to America.
