The best rock on vacation

on every trip we go on, I to find a good rock to bring home. I line them up on my desk and look at them while I work. These two babies are from Greystones, Ireland and Friendship, Maine. The one from Maine is a wishing stone, I always keep my eye out for these!

We did a small part of it, and my kids had a blast at North Beach / Marina Playground. We went through the process of getting my husband and kids citizenship (via his grandparents), and I dream of moving to Greystones.

Completely agree. And it always makes think about Georgia O’Keeffe’s collecting obsession. I heard a story about her going on a rafting tour when she was in her 80s and everyone collected so many rocks the tour guide made them put them back but she refused.

Same! I have vessels filled with heart shapes, Petoskey stones, polka dotted stones, wishing stones, and what I call pocket stones - from what my kiddos found and gave me.
