Buy yourself a new tv remote

Take a look at your remote - is it chewed (kids!!), buttons rubbed off, generally gross? I had to have a neighbor tell me you can just buy the same remote and it just... automatically works?! My mental hurdle was somehow having to program a remote, but this is not a problem! The tv equivalent of getting your car detailed.
