I’m a fan of this for us adults too. Otherwise it can take weeks or months to see some people!

YES and same as with this kids, even if it doesn't work out on one certain day, it's the same that it sets the vibe that you can ask!

I do this too! Only thing that keeps me sane with kids. Now they are at an age where I tell them to make their own plans (tin can, at recess, ride your bike around the neighborhood…with me a few yards behind).

We are in this transition with my oldest, I love when I don't have to be the planner 😂

This is key for magical childhood- Brava! The overplanning will kill the joy in us alllllll 🤪🫠

Kudos to this approach! Agree with for kids and adults alike as @Meez Stephanie says. It makes me nuts when people say "let's get together soon" and then serve me up a date four months from now. Whut?! I took this approach for my impromptu birthday Matcha Meet-Up gathering (see rec!) - gave friends 24 hours notice and delighted in the mix of people who showed up last minute.

I like this for adult play dates too.
