I’m taking tons of art workshops and classes this fall. And they are changing the way I look at the world. When I practice my new skills, I can feel my brain changing gears in a really, really good way. The teachers are all wonderful in their own ways and I’ve loved all of my classmates, too.
I’m taking classes at lots of places, which I’ll eventually share here. But in the meantime, if you don’t know where to find a class near you, look for local community art centers (a thing I didn’t know was a thing!) and check the offerings at community colleges near you. Also, Case for Making has lots of affordable online workshops!

My local community college (Cabrillo College) also has an Extension program that is classes for adults taught on campus, but are shorter than a semester and don't require college enrollment. I've seen all kinds of creative classes including cooking and art and jewelry and music, and the interaction for the ones I've taken over the years have been high caliber!

“In San Francisco's foggy Outer Sunset, Case for Making sells their handmade, artist grade watercolors. You can also find a thoughtfully curated selection of cold-pressed watercolor paper, palettes made in Italy to store your colors, ceramics to blend pigments, and other painting supplies. I love their brushes, particularly the golden travel sized ones which fit into the palm of your hand when brok”

“Handmade watercolors in every hue you can dream of, plus all the other supplies you’ve been coveting. The cherry on top? Classes next door in the art room, the perfect way to spark some creativity or kiki with a pal!”

Fancy That!
