Keep the invite list small: At my daughter’s first birthday party, we had less than 10 people in attendance, and it was perfect—I wasn’t worried about having to say hi to everyone or needing to refresh the food (or even worry about having much in the first place). I could focus on the joy of watching my child experience the first real party thrown just for them!
