Knitting
Recommended by Sam Childress
Startups costs are low, it’s easy to learn (I taught myself entirely with youtube videos) and you can make beautiful, useful things. It’s so lovely to have a knitting friend over for coffee and work on your projects together. Plus it’s impossible to doomscroll with needles in hand!!

What YouTube channel did you learn from?

It’s been so long that I honestly don’t remember which channels I used, but if I had to restart from zero, this is where I’d go! Her videos are super clear. https://verypink.com/videos/youtube/

As a crocheter I was forced to learn to knit for a project that needed ribbing. It’s so satisfying, can’t believe I didn’t pick it up sooner!
