Screaming as therapy

When you’re self-pay and get quoted a couple thousand dollars for a procedure (!) and then get a bill for 2x that amount (!!!). And when you call billing, they tell you:
“Oh, that initial quote was just an estimate.”

Ah. Yes. Of course. An estimate.

Apparently my $2,000 procedure was actually a $4,000 procedure. Love that for me. 🫠

Sometimes you need a railway bridge, a passing train, and a good ol' scream.
