Hiking South Zapata, in Alamosa Co

The hike is 9.5 miles about 6-8 hours round trip depending on experience. It’s a beautiful hike through mount Blanca that ends at an isolated lake in the mountain.

It’s also close to the Zapata Falls (it’s at the start of the hike) as well as the Sand Dunes (national park)
