The magic of a kitchen chair

My grandparents always had a chair by the corded landline phone in their kitchen, right next to a little table with a pen and pad of paper. Outside of practical reasons, there's also something comforting about this. Adding a random chair to your kitchen is an excellent idea—maybe you're waiting for the water to boil, whatever. Plus, it's comforting and nostalgic and references the classics (landlines).
