A calming creative activity (albeit expensive… but there are knockoff sets that work too)

I had my Lego obsessed son make me a Lego botanical for my birthday! We did it together. I’m looking at two Lego sunflowers now at my desk 🌻🧱

That’s so sweet! If he has an abundance of random extra Legos, there are apps like Brickit (where it has ideas of what to build based on what you already have) or Lego Builder (where you can access instructions for sets) so he can make you made flowers

“for a few years my friends and family knew that the only gift i wanted was LEGO flower arrangements. i have lotus flowers, red roses, wildflower bouquets, an orchid...they are cat safe (lol) and relaxing to build and now i have permanent centerpieces for dinner parties.”

“You don’t want to leave most Lego models around your house once they’re built: nobody wants the Lego Arboretum sitting on their shelves. The only exceptions are these flowers and the big Jurassic Park T-Rex.”
