Go see the Welwitschia at the UC Berkeley botanical garden

Important news!!! The Welwitschia at UCB Botanical gardens is coning for the first time since they got it in 1989!!!! These are some of the longest living plants in the entire world and they live in the remote and ancient Namib desert.

Fun story: I was in Namibia this spring and saw some on the side of the road and screamed “stop!!!! Pull over!!!!” and my friends got scared until I told them all about this amazing plant.
