A nearly-extinct purple ribbon cane syrup brought back by Cornelia Bailey, the late beloved matriarch and guardian of Georgia’s coastal Gullah Geechee culture.
The sugarcane is hand-sown then harvested by community volunteers, crushed in an antique press, and slowly boiled down over an open wood fire. Orders are open now for this winter’s harvest.
