I landed on this detailed essay on the notecard system by Billy Oppenheimer, research assistant to Ryan Holiday (that guy who writes the books on stoicism - who also swears by the index card system). I learned my method from Esmé Weijun Wang (I took her class, Indexing for Creative Discovery) and have morphed in a few of Billy’s points since.
