I grew up in a hippie home in a hippie town and had a tough time taking these books seriously but honestly!!! Lots of winners. Going to test at least one new recipe from these books each week this fall and winter. Also the hand drawn illustrations are incredible. (Some recipes are a bit too… hippie for me still)

Yes! I also grew up in a hippie home and have recently revisited Moosewood! Thinking of the vegetable upside down cake still makes me gag a little though :)

Didn’t grow up in a hippie home but my mom (who never cooks) still had these! And I was delighted to see my fiancé’s parents have them too the first time I visited their house.
