i am the last person to discover the benefits of analog to-do lists. i'll admit it. i am, however, the only person i know who has two separate notebooks for their work and personal life. it's less about the notebooks themselves – though i share more below about the ones i have and why – and more about a separation of church and state. i struggle a lot with letting work muddle into my personal life, and this small change has been instrumental in boundary building.
the MoMA notebook is splendid. narrow and slightly flimsy (complimentary) so it tucks nicely into pockets and bends and folds to fit. this is for my personal life: grocery lists, errands, to-dos, don't forgets, etc. and no, it isn't my journal. i of course have a third notebook for that ;)
the rhodia goalbook is for WORK! it's a bullet journal i can customize and make fancy or scribble meeting minutes into. it's robust and can handle travel, a little water, and a LOT of chicken scratches. i love the built-in bookmark and little pen holder on the right.
