Sidia founder Erin Kleinberg named the brand after her grandmother, which tracks because everything here smells like it could live on your g-ma’s well-loved vanity in the best way imaginable. Their popular Midas scent now exists as a proper eau de parfum. Black pepper and coconut water give it a crackly, salty opening before fig leaf and sticky labdanum melt into suede, sandalwood, and a skin musk. It reads gourmand without feeling sugary, which is my preferred pathway for the category. Braless brings a different mood with rosemary and black pepper up top, then violet, black tea, and orris, drying down to vanilla, patchouli, and soft leather. All their fragrances are also available in a more subtle, close-wearing balm encased in a gorgeous sculptural compact.
