Rodan + Fields Active Hydration Serum

When Rodan + Fields reached out, I’ll admit I had to set aside the brand’s previous MLM reputation before trying these. But the brand comes from Drs. Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields, the dermatologists who are also behind Proactiv, so they do have some cred. Active Hydration Serum is a lightweight, slippery gel-serum built on hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and a lineup of five different ceramides. It sinks in fast and leaves skin cushioned. It’s also very easy to incorporate layered under heavier creams at night. Their Pure C Serum contains 10% pure ascorbic acid, no C-derivatives, in a base with no water and no oil, which is how they keep the formula so stable. The texture sits somewhere between a serum and a dry oil, with a little slip that settles into skin after a minute.
