Sea Ranch

There’s nowhere quite like Sea Ranch. This stretch of the Sonoma coast was planned in the 1960s around a simple, radical idea. To live lightly on the land. The cedar shingle houses still look like they grew straight out of the bluffs. Days move more slowly here. Fog rolls in off the Pacific, cypress hedgerows lean sideways from decades of wind, and the ocean never stops working the rocks along the coast. I brought along my new Ricoh GR IV to see how it would perform, and it did not disappoint. Grainy, quiet, and picturesque across the board. A few of my favorite frames are below.
