The Netanyahus by Joshua Cohen

A fictionalized account of a true story in which PM Netanyahu’s father, a professor who specializes in the Spanish Inquisition, is chaperoned by the only Jewish professor at a small liberal arts college for a few days and wreaks havoc in that small amount of time. Astoundingly good writing, like Elizabeth Hartwick and Philip Roth levels of specificity, plus laugh-out-loud funny, even when some of the very numerous historical references go over my cute little head (though maybe we’re all cute and little compared to Joshua, and that’s okay!).
