Tala Madani at David Kordansky Gallery

Tala Madani’s new show is proof she’s one of the sharpest painters working today. “Control X” brings together new paintings and video animations built around the obsession with the line between making something and taking it apart. Figures in these works get broken down and reformed, sometimes willingly, sometimes not, and Madani uses that instability to think through how creation myths, language, and human relationships all run on the same fragile logic.
