No I love that you’re complicating this. It’s like, there’s this long history of life or death on the dance floor, but something exploded in the 2010s that feels very specifically apocalyptic and kind of avoidant. Also this song is amazing

Now this has me thinking of how dance therapy was rated the most effective therapy and the feeling of life/death and rebirth within the self.

Also there was a really good article in psychology today like two issues ago about music and psychology I have to try to find it. It was essentially saying what if the “ear worms” we get about songs is another way of our subconscious speaking to us.
